About us

Our company sells shrink-wrapped software to industrial customers focusing on process analysis and asset optimisation. We sell globally through channel partners, primarily in mining, minerals processing, power, water, and manufacturing. Our software integrates with other process and business systems to acquire data and model physical equipment and processes allowing it to identify bottlenecks, systemic causes of failure, quality constraints, and other business-critical information. Our product development team creates and maintains our software offerings, while our engineering team installs and configures our software for customers. We also work closely with our global channel partners to assist them with project scope, design, and implementation. Our customers include global leaders of industry including BHP, Rio Tinto, South32, Glencore, Goldfields, Allied Pinnacle, and Tronox. This is a software development role in our product development team.

Qualifications & experience

We are seeking candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience, however candidates with less experience who can supply evidence of exceptional capabilities are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must demonstrate strong capabilities in C#, .NET Framework, HTML5, and Javascript technologies.

Strong skills and experience in MS SQL database design and integration is advantageous and should be described in the candidate's application.

Experience in agile methodologies (preferably SCRUM) is advantageous.

Tasks & responsibilities

You will be working in a development team using Kanban methodology.

You will be contributing to requirements clarification and ticket refinement.

You will be contributing to code structure and design as part of regular group architecture sessions.

You will be developing in C#, Javascript, HTML5, and MS SQL databases, using Visual Studio and GitHub.

You will be writing source code, unit tests, performing manual tests where necessary, and be responsible for quality assurance of your own code prior to commits and peer reviews.

You will be writing feature documentation and release notes.

You will participate in customer support including bug fixes, refactors, performance analysis, and rapid response to P1 issues.

You will provide assistance to the engineering team and 3rd party channel partners for product use, feature adoption, and best practices.

You will work at least 2 days a week (3 during the probation period), from our office in North Sydney, with the option to work from home other days.

We expect them to be critical of their own code, and willing to learn and adapt to peer-reviews and feedback. We expect them to contribute to all facets of the product development lifecycle.
