About Us

Play Poles supplies custom-designed playground equipment with associated softfall surfacing, outdoor fitness equipment, shade sails, shade shelters, and multipurpose sports courts across Queensland. We are a small, family-owned business based on the Sunshine Coast, having proudly owned and operated since 1993.

Our valued clients include the Department of Education, local councils, childcare centres, and private/ public schools.

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled All-Rounder to join our production and installation team in Kunda Park.

This position reports to the Factory Foreman and the business Owner. If shortlisted for an interview, workplace references will be required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assisting with fabrication and installation of playground equipment and softfall materials, outdoor fitness equipment, shade sails, shade shelters & multipurpose sports courts.

General labouring, landscaping, and trade assistant duties for our main fabricator.

Site work involving manual handling, civil works, roofing, playground installations and softfall installations.

Some travel and overnight stays are involved for some on-site projects.

Who We’re Looking For:

A hands-on team player with a strong work ethic

Physically fit and capable of manual labour

Flexible with work hours and work tasks, and must be willing to travel when required

Able to read and follow site plans, detailed drawings, work to schedules, and adapt to varied tasks

Construction experience preferred but not essential

Must-Have for the Role & Licenses:

Full Driver’s License

White Card (Construction)

Blue Card (Working with Children) – or prepared to obtain one

QBuild Contractor Induction or prepared to obtain one

Bonus Points for:

Forklift HRW license

Working at heights/EWP/Boom Lift ticket (Yellow Card)

Background in construction, roofing, building, landscaping, trade assistant

MIG/TIG welding experience (not essential)

Sheet Metal fabrication skills (not essential)

Position Details:

· Type: Casual position leading to Full time for the right candidate

· Hours: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm (Mon–Thu), 6:00 am – 1:00 pm (Fri) - Varies for casual employees

· Overtime: Available

· Location: 33 Altona Ave, Kunda Park, Sunshine Coast

· Pay: Based on experience and qualifications
