About the role

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Student Support Person to join the team at Australian Global Institute in Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and assistance to our trainers, high schools and students, ensuring they have a positive and enriching experience throughout their studies.

What you'll be doing

Responding to school, trainer and student inquiries and providing guidance on a range of administrative and academic matters

Assisting with enrolment, timetabling, and other administrative tasks

Organising and facilitating practical and training sessions

Providing support to students who may be experiencing personal or academic challenges

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student support activities

Collaborating with the broader student services team to ensure a cohesive and effective support system

What we're looking for

Must have very good written and spoken English communication skills (answer phone calls, emails, develop documents)

Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and friendly team player

Appreciate and uptake innovative and efficient work practices

Enthusiastic to learn new systems (LMS, SMS training provided)

Punctual, reliable with attention to detail being critical

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with schools, trainers and students from diverse backgrounds

Strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for supporting program success

Preferred knowledge or experience within the vocational education and training (VET) sector

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
