Role Overview
The Principal Consultant is essential for business development (new & existing) & talent acquisition within the facilities services industry. This role involves engaging with Directors, Heads of Sales, and Heads of HR and Career BDMs to build and nurture relationships. The primary objective is to secure a steady flow of new clients and respective job orders, working with career sales professionals and placing them with clients into new sales opportunities that provide them with advancement in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Establish and cultivate relationships with prospective companies in the facilities services industry primarily outbound calls.
Engage with key decision-makers and qualify current or future sales recruitment needs with Directors, General Managers, Sales Managers / Heads of Sales, Heads of HR.
Generate new job orders from both new and existing clients.
Ensure a consistent pipeline of job opportunities for the Senior Consultant to take active candidates through to placement.
Maintain an up-to-date client map, focusing on commercial cleaning companies in major cities and expanding to new sectors like waste management and security.
Candidate & Client Engagement
Establishing and developing long-term candidate & client relationships through active and passive engagement.
Use key candidate profiles provided by the agency to pitch to prospective clients.
Regularly communicate with prospective clients to understand their hiring needs and timelines.
Hand over new clients to Senior Consultant ensuring detailed job brief has been taken and formal introduction call & email setup.
Daily Activities
Outbound Prospecting: Conduct outbound calls, emails & virtual meetings to companies that have recently posted job ads and companies within the current target market. Qualify their recruitment needs and pitch prospective candidate profiles already screened by yourself or our Talent Pool database.
Talent Acquisition: Conduct outbound calls and linkedin messages to candidates with our target market, build strong long term relationships with them and assist them with career advancement with our clients.
Candidate & Client Mapping: Maintain an up-to-date candidate & client map, prioritising growing companies and largest companies in the target sectors and clients with dedicated leadership & sales careers in the industry.
Follow-Up: Consistently follow up to get prospective clients signed up to terms of business.
Terms of Business: Send terms of business to prospective clients and ensure they are signed promptly.
Job Brief Creation: Create job briefs for the agency to facilitate candidate placement.
Qualifications
Must Have
Charismatic and personable personality, able to influence Directors and Heads of Business primarily over the phone, email, virtual meetings and LinkedIn.
Proven experience in business development, preferably within the facilities services industry or any other relevant industries to our strategic goals.
Proven track record of consistent outbound cold calls up to 50 per day with professional tonality control & pitch.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Passionate about sales & leadership and the executive careers of professionals
Passionate about business and related industries
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, either remotely or in-office.
Proficiency with CRM and ATS systems, particularly Monday.com.
Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other lead generation tools.
High level of organisation and attention to detail.
Preferences
Experience using Linkedin tools such as Sales Navigator and or Linkedin Recruiter Pro.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, primarily Gmail.
Familiarity with Job board platforms such as Linkedin, Seek, and Apollo.
Active Professional & Presentable Linkedin Profile.
Experience with Linkedin automation campaigns and Monday.com for task management.
