About the Role
We are seeking applications for the casual role of First Aid Officer. This is an essential role providing immediate care and initial management of ill or injured patrons, artists, staff or visitors at QPAC. We are seeking candidates with a genuine passion and dedication for first aid, and who can commit to flexible working hours including days, nights and weekends.
Successful candidates must be available for a minimum of three shifts per week with at least one (1) shift on a Saturday and one (1) shift on a Wednesday as well as two (2) Saturday evenings per month. Day time availability is highly desirable.
In this role you will:
Provide initial management of injuries and illness by administering first aid treatment to patrons, staff and artists during performances.
Provide reasonable first aid assistance to persons in and around the QPAC premises.
Accurately record details of first aid given.
Ensure first aid rooms supplies and equipment are maintained.
Provide the highest level of customer service.
Observe Work Health & Safety Practices and Emergency Procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a large public venue or entertainment precinct with a high volume of patronage.
Demonstrated level of coordination ability and capacity to exercise initiative in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated high level of communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, immaculate presentation and high attention to detail.
Candidates MUST have current Apply Advanced First Aid, Apply Advanced Resuscitation, and CPR statements of attainment from a nationally recognised RTO. Candidates are also required to have current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain.
