The Role:

As the Night Manager, you will lead and supervise all aspects of hotel operations during the evening through to the early morning hours. During this period, while the hotel rests, you will act as the calm, composed, and reliable point of contact for any unexpected situations, ensuring our guests and operations are fully supported.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Balancing and reconciling daily hotel financial transactions, investigating variances, and monitoring shift takings.

Operations Oversight: Conducting property inspections, security checks, and reporting maintenance or cleaning issues. Ensuring cleanliness, proper lighting, and ambience in public areas.

Revenue Maximisation: Continuously reviewing in-house numbers and third-party sites to optimise revenue.

Hospitality Service: Providing basic room service, monitoring room statuses, and possessing comprehensive knowledge of the hotel layout, facilities, rates, and packages.

Staffing and Training: Reviewing rosters and ensuring staff compliance with grooming standards.

Guest Services: Handling guest complaints effectively, ensuring a warm welcome for guests, and promoting hotel services.

Safety and Compliance: Acting as a fire warden during evacuations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.

Communication and Leadership: Reviewing incoming requests, coordinating with F&B for events, compiling handovers, and delivering business results according to set targets.

Concierge and Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform concierge duties as needed and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the work area.

Adaptability and Additional Responsibilities: Being adaptable to additional tasks as requested by management.

Training:

Attend and actively participate in training programs as required by the Employer

Maintain current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification

Maintain current First Aid & CPR qualification

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Committed night worker

A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role, within a 4 or 5-star environment

Experience using Opera Cloud

Experience using Microsoft Excel

Must have a full open driver's license

Have an exceptional personal presentation

Good written and verbal communication

Have a friendly and outgoing disposition!
