As a contractor to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport.
The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium made up of Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package of works for the Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project.
RDWSA will proudly operate and maintain 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line has become operational.
About the Role:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and is passionate about contributing to a positive employee experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle on a major project. You’ll work closely with the wider P&C team to help deliver key initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, industrial relations, and more. Your day to day responsibilities might include:
Recruitment Support
Drafting job advertisements and posting roles online
Conducting initial phone screens with potential applicants
Coordinating interviews with hiring managers and candidates
Acting as a point of contact for candidates throughout the process
Onboarding & Offboarding
Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
Supporting and helping improve the offboarding process
Managing onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new starters
Industry Participation
Assisting in the coordination of graduate and industry programs
Supporting the planning and delivery of related events and activities
General People & Culture Support
Providing day-to-day administrative assistance to the P&C team
Assisting with the review and drafting of policies
Supporting reward and recognition programs
Gaining exposure to employment and industrial relations matters
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or Psychology, ideally with a focus on Human Resources (transcript and proof of graduation required)
Some professional experience in a People & Culture (HR) environment preferred
Understanding of HR best practices
Knowledge of relevant legislation and awards (highly desirable)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Eagerness to learn and develop generalist HR skills
Proactive attitude with the initiative to face challenges and contribute to solutions
