The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (the Reef Authority) is a Commonwealth statutory agency responsible for the long-term protection, ecologically sustainable use, and enjoyment of the Great Barrier Reef.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workforce Capability Manager to join our People Services team. This role is central to building and sustaining a capable, future-ready workforce that supports the Reef Authority’s mission and operational goals.
This position can be based in Townsville, Cairns, or Canberra, and flexible working arrangements may be considered. Whether you’re looking to work close to the Reef, near family, or in the nation’s capital, we support a healthy work-life balance through hybrid work options and adaptable schedules.
As Workforce Capability Manager, you will lead initiatives in workforce planning, learning and development, talent and succession management, and HR data reporting. You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure our people have the skills, support, and development opportunities they need to succeed now and into the future.

What you’ll bring
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong background in learning and development, workforce planning, and stakeholder engagement
Experience with Acorn LMS or similar systems
