Council’s Healthy Communities Branch is recruiting for the position of Environmental Sustainability Education Officer – R2636.
This position will require the successful applicant to work 16 hours per week. Days and hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
About the Opportunity
Are you looking to transition back to the workforce? This is a great opportunity to work 16 hours per week in a temporary position until May 2026.
As an Environmental Sustainability Officer, you will play a crucial role in integrating sustainability into the council's operations, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future our community.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
· Tertiary Qualifications in a related field of Environmental Management or Environmental Education and some relevant experience or less formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience in a related field.
· Proven experience in customer engagement and the development of environmental awareness initiatives.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $47.36 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
