Position Details:
∙Location: Suite 2, 12/28 Hamilton Street, Townsville City, Qld – 4810.
∙Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, with paid overtime as per applicable
award rates. (Full-time ongoing)
∙Salary: $91,590 per year plus superannuation as compensation.
What we are looking for:
∙Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
∙Experience in Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Sector is highly
desirable
∙Strong background in human resources practices and procedures
∙A degree in Human Resources, Leadership, or another relevant qualification
You will also need:
Working with Children (Blue card) (Mandatory)
∙NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Mandatory)
∙NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' (Mandatory)
∙First Aid and CPR (or the ability to obtain)
∙National Police Clerance (or the ability to obtain)
∙Qld Driver License (or the ability to obtain)
To be successful in this role you must have:
∙Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing a sizable team.
∙Lead and support day-to-day HR operations across the organisation
∙Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation such as Social,
Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award
∙Ensuring human resource compliance requirements are met
∙Experience with recruitment, placement of job adverts, candidate screening, co-ordinating
interviews, guiding new starters through the onboarding process, preparing employment
contracts, co-ordinating performance reviews etc
∙Guiding new starters through the onboarding process
∙Managing employee learning and competencies
∙Be extremely organised and efficient with an eye for detail
∙Have well rounded administrative skills and experience
∙Have excellent interpersonal skills
∙Good written and verbal communication skills
∙Experience in having difficult conversions
∙Managing grievances in a fair process
∙Respect and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
∙Partner with the executive team to implement meaningful people initiatives
∙Proficiency in computer skills
∙Experience in developing and implementing performance plans
∙Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety
regulations
∙Have a genuine interest in progressing your career in human resources
