About the role

We are seeking a part-time Community Support Worker to join our team at Care Right Associates in Bundaberg, Queensland. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised care to older adults and individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and with dignity.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with day-to-day living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Providing transportation to medical appointments, social engagements, and community activities

Engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote their wellbeing and quality of life

Monitoring clients' physical and emotional health, and reporting any changes to the care team

Advocating for clients' needs and ensuring their rights are respected

Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

Experience in a community support or caregiving role, preferably with older adults or individuals with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

A clear police check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check
