Haynes is currently seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters, Electrical Crane Technicians & Construction Electrician to join our client in Mackay.

1. Mechanical Fitter (Temp to Perm Opportunities)

3. Construction Electrician (Project Duration is 1 Month)

Mechanical Fitter:

About the role

• Install new overhead crane systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead crane equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Diagnose mechanical, and hydraulic issues with overhead crane systems and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on overhead crane components, including hoists, trolleys, brakes, motors, and controls.
• Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures, conducting safety assessments, documenting occupational hazards and risks, following safety protocols and procedures in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and parts inventory.

The successful candidate will require

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Construction White Card
• HRW - WP (Work Platform)
• Working at Heights
• High Risk Work Licences
• Previous crane experience
• Driver's Licence and Reliable Vehicle

Electrical Crane Technicians:

About the role

• Maintenance and repair of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
• Development and modification of electrical panels and circuits.
• Commissioning and testing of completed projects and associated electrical work.
• Able to contribute to a safe work environment.
• Good communication skills and accurate reporting.

The successful candidate will require

• Trade Qualified Electrician
• Construction White Card
• HRW - WP (Work Platform)
• Working at Heights
• LVR/CPR for Electricians
• High Risk Work Licences
• Previous crane experience
• Driver's Licence and Reliable Vehicle

Construction Electrician:

About the role

• Construction Electrician for a short-term role at Farleigh Quarry, focusing on processing plant maintenance including running cables and terminating.
• Location: Farleigh Quarry (Hanson)
• Duration: Approx. 1 Month
• Pay: $55-$60/hr Flat Rate (depending on experience)

The successful candidate will require

• Trade Qualified Electrician
• Valid CPR/LVR, Driver's Licence (DL), and Construction White Card
• Ability to pass DAS
• Available Monday to Friday, up to 10-hour days (7am-5pm)
• Must attend workshop and travel to site in work vehicle
• Good communication skills and accurate reporting.
