About the role

This is a rare opportunity that blends traditional company accounting with strategic treasury management, offering exposure well beyond the typical finance role. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cash flow management, board and investor reporting, and work directly with our Financial Controller and Group Treasury Manager.

You’ll also collaborate with a leading global bank, contributing to the financial operations and strategic direction of a national business.

What you'll be doing

Preparing monthly management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements

Performing variance analysis and providing financial insights for senior leadership and board reporting

Managing investor ledger and related capital transactions, distributions and reporting

Supporting the preparation of consolidated Statutory Financial Statements under Australian Accounting Standards

Assisting with financial data for board presentations, investor updates and scenario modelling

Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and rolling financial models alongside the CFO and Financial Controller

Leading cash flow forecasting and managing daily treasury functions, ensuring sufficient liquidity

Collaborating with the Group Treasury Manager on loan funding, covenant reporting and engagement with banking partners

Ensuring compliance with ASIC, APRA, ATO and relevant statutory reporting including BAS, GST, FBT and Income Tax

Supporting the external audit process and liaising with auditors and regulators

Enhancing finance processes, dashboards, and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, and workflow platforms (e.g. Monday.com)

Driving continuous process improvement and assisting with finance system upgrades or implementations

About you

You’re a detail-oriented, hands-on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic business environment, working with senior stakeholders. You enjoy combining accounting fundamentals with strategic thinking and are ready to bring the following:

2–4 years’ professional experience in accounting or finance, with practical exposure to financial mathematics a definite advantage

Ideally CPA or CA qualification (we will also consider applicants not pursuing CPA/CA who demonstrate strong experience)

Strong financial analysis and reporting skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI or similar tools highly regarded

A proactive mindset and keen interest in cash flow, liquidity and treasury operations

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
