This position can be based either North, South, East or West office.
About the role:
This position is situated within the MacKillop National After Hours Services Unit which is responsible for providing high quality residential care that supports the emotional, social and behavioural care needs of vulnerable young people.
The After Hours Support Worker shift commences at 9pm.
We are looking for one permanent full-time based in Melbourne, VIC within our MacKillop National After Hours Service. The position reports to the Team Leader/ Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3-5 years experience in youth services or residential care;
- A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Communication Services
- Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ability to implement behaviour management plans for young people with challenging behaviours;
- Experience and understanding of OH&s issues in the workplace;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;

- Hourly Rate of $37.35 to $40.05 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 3, dependent on qualification and experience.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
