MCR are seeking a competent HV operator with broad knowlege of electrical infrastructure in critical operational environments

Your key responsibility will be to manage Electrical Systems, both high and low voltage.

Responsibilities:

• Support the engineering teams, leading implementation and development of LV and HV MOPS and SOPs
• Acting as a high-voltage (HV) operator and helping to train and supervise junior technicians
• Reviewing electrical switching procedures
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant local regulations and standards related to HV systems.
• Supporting commissioning
• Creating inspection, maintenance, and safety schedules.
• Overseeing the maintenance and inspection of the LV, HV and other electrical infrastructure in the data centres

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a HV Authorized person
• Electrical trade qualifications or a related background, ideally with knowledge of low-voltage switchgear and power generation.
• Strong technical understanding of high-voltage systems, including switchgear, cabling, and transformers.
• Experience of managing electrical equipment in operational environments
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be an Australian citizen or eligible for appropriate security clearance.
