About the Role:
Our client is a cluster of the NSW State Government who are looking for a Building Services Engineer with a mechanical/HVAC background to join a multi-disciplinary team working across a large, high-profile Sydney property portfolio. You'll work on a range of building projects and upgrades – ensuring compliance, driving sustainability, and delivering reliable services infrastructure across a busy campus environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead inspections and reviews of mechanical/HVAC systems and broader building services
• Provide technical input across design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
• Oversee energy efficiency projects and infrastructure upgrades
• Manage documentation, asset data, and lifecycle planning
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Support compliance, defect resolution, and engineering standards across the portfolio

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
• Experience with HVAC systems, mechanical plant, and BMS
• Familiarity with other building services: fire, electrical, hydraulic, lighting
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
• Comfortable working across large and complex built environments
