About the role
The position delivers high quality; evidence based Social Work clinical services and leadership in the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health issues and/or crisis, their families, carers and relevant stakeholders, in the Crisis Stabilisation Unit setting. This position operates as a member of a multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on planning and providing brief interventions for crisis and deliver high-level bio- psychosocial interventions within a therapeutic recovery framework.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Social Work Professional Practice Standards, the HP4 Clinical and Non-Clinical Capability Statements and the Metro North Health values in actions.
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver high level Social Work clinical services to consumers with complex mental health and alcohol and other drug treatment needs based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice, ethical and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes.
- Work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to area of expertise.
- Lead innovation and change efforts to develop responses to address emerging service needs, in relation to mental health crisis intervention.
