Our social workers work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions. Rockhampton Hospital will play an important role in achieving the objectives set out in our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy. We will deliver expert care close to home by investing in a range of specialist services at Rockhampton Hospital for all Central Queenslanders.
About the role:
The Senior Social Worker is responsible for providing clinical social work services, as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mt Morgan Business Unit (primarily Rockhampton Hospital).
Senior Social Workers provide complex case management, delivery of clinical services including psychosocial assessment, therapy interventions, monitoring and evaluation of high-quality social work services for patients/clients of Queensland Health within the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
They are lead clinicians for portfolios of responsibility and provide supervision and support to less experienced social workers.
About you:
- Applicants must not have any ethical matters outstanding that may otherwise preclude eligibility for professional membership with the AASW.
- Overseas applicants must obtain a letter from the AASW confirming eligibility for professional membership and provide a copy with their position application.
- The successful applicant must maintain their continuing professional development at a level that would at least meet the accreditation standards of the AASW. As Social Work is a self-regulated profession the successful applicant is required to participate in CQHHS credentialling and defining scope of clinical practice processes.
- Possession of a degree qualification in Social Work from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
