Randstad is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a short-term contract based in Hobart. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic project involving on-site mechanical fitting on a vessel. This project starts on the 18th June and will provide you will ongoing fitting work for the next 3 months based here in Hobart.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with mechanical fitting work on a marine vessel

Installation, alignment, and assembly of mechanical components

Use of hand and power tools as required

Follow safety protocols and work under supervision of senior fitters/supervisors

Requirements:

Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar

Relevant experience in mechanical fitting (marine or industrial experience highly regarded)

Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Strong awareness of workplace safety practices

White Card (Construction Induction)

Must be reliable and available for the full project duration

Preferred but not essential:

Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets

Previous experience working on marine projects
