About the role

Provide nursing care at an advanced scope of clinical practice, including expanded skills and knowledge in older persons mental health. The role will focus on assessment, formulation, and treatment planning, inclusive of appropriate brief interventions, to older consumers with complex mental health and dual diagnosis issues, their families, carers, and relevant stakeholders.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and competence for expanded practice in providing client-focused care within a nursing model including advanced health assessment of consumer's/person's clinical condition, development, and implementation of appropriately documented management plan.
  • Provide advanced clinical support and leadership through evidence-based practice and professional development, service planning and delivery, and quality initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote, undertake and support research activities to support improved client care and best practice.
