With a boutique 26-bed rehabilitation ward and an 8-bed mental health ward, our hospital offers a personalised, high-quality patient care experience, where your expertise will be deeply valued and your contribution significant.

💼 The Opportunity

As a Nurse Practitioner at Mackay Private Hospital, you will:

Deliver advanced, evidence-based clinical care within your approved scope of practice.

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes across rehabilitation, sub-acute medical, and mental health care.

Lead and support innovative nurse-led models of care.

Exercise advanced clinical autonomy and decision-making in a flexible, evolving care environment.

Contribute to streamlined, cost-effective, patient-centred care pathways.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and coordinated care planning.

Prescribe medications and refer to appropriate services as per scope and policy.

Maintain accurate patient documentation and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.

Promote culturally safe, responsive, and inclusive healthcare.

Mentor and support clinical nursing teams and participate in education and professional development activities.

👤 About You

Qualifications & Registration:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner.

Full working rights in Australia.

Experience & Attributes:

Clinical experience in rehabilitation, sub-acute or mental health settings preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Commitment to person-centred care and continuous professional growth.
