Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Remuneration: $38.00/hr

About the Role

We're looking for a physically fit and highly motivated General Worker to join our team on a short-term contract (4-6 weeks) on beautiful Lindeman Island. This role is crucial in assisting with the clean-up and maintenance of the island, focusing on manual labour tasks in a remote island environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker, your duties will primarily involve:

Manual Labour: Performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying reasonable loads.

Rubbish and Debris Removal: Collecting and disposing of various types of waste, litter, and natural debris from designated areas.

Bushland Clearing: Assisting with the clearing of overgrown vegetation and light bushland to improve accessibility and aesthetics.

Waste Management: Contributing to the efficient removal and proper disposal of general waste across the island.

General Cleaning: Undertaking a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of specified areas.

Working Hours: Working effectively and safely for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

What We're Looking For

Physical Fitness: Demonstrated ability to perform demanding manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing, for 8 hours a day.

Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.

Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a remote island environment with limited amenities.

Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with a small team.

Valid Driver's Licence: Essential for operating vehicles on the island as required.

Legal Right to Work in Australia: You must have the legal entitlement to work in Australia.
