The opportunity
Mirrimpilyi Muurpanara Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two full time Early Intervention Case Workers to join their team in Broken Hill, NSW. As an Early Intervention Case Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families in the local community.
Key responsibilities
Provide early intervention and case management support to children, young people and families to improve outcomes and prevent escalation of issues
Develop and implement tailored support plans to address the specific needs of each client
Collaborate with other community services and agencies to deliver coordinated care
Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports as required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and participation in team meetings
Represent the organisation professionally and positively in the local community
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling or a related field
Demonstrated experience in case management, preferably within a community services or child/family welfare setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Commitment to strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
Understanding of the unique cultural needs and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local region

The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check and Working With Children Check. This is a core requirement of this role
