We are seeking a Turf Worker to join our Racing Operations team to ensure delivery of superior quality racing surfaces, training facilities, grounds and associated amenities. Working out of our brand new, state-of-the-art maintenance and grounds facility, you would be joining the team in a time of growth and excitement!

To be successful in this role, you will naturally demonstrate:

Capacity for high-intensity manual labour

High degree of communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment

A few of your key responsibilities

Routine maintenance of grounds, racetracks, turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces

Moving running rails and attending to other raceday and pre-raceday requirements

Operate, maintain and adjust turf machinery

Apply fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides

Support the gardening team in the planting and trimming of trees, sowing, planting and cutting of grass and watering of plants, gardens, trees, lawns and displays

Remove cuttings, rakes leaves, cleans/empty litter bins, clean gutters/drains/culverts
