The Role

The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the MND and Me Foundation’s (the Foundation) support services. Reporting to the Client Services Manager, this role handles the logistics and administration of all care services provided to people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families. Together these two roles ensure the Foundation’s support services are well organised, high quality and targeted to add value to the families we support.

The aim of the role is to work with our many stakeholders towards ensuring all Queenslanders with MND receive equitable access to support services when and where they need them, delivering the right solutions, at the right time. This role would suit a person already working in the health or care sector looking to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives on a daily basis.

Our current service offering includes:

supply of equipment

information provision

support groups

family emotional support

support coordination (case management).

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team.

Maintain and update the client management database with accurate and confidential information.

Process equipment requests and coordinate deliveries in line with client needs and service protocols.

Act as a point of contact between the charity, support coordinators, and allied health practitioners.

Maintain regular, compassionate communication with clients and their family members regarding service needs and updates.

Support general office operations including handling enquiries via phone and email.

Skills and Attributes

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database systems

Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations with empathy and professionalism

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

Essential Requirements

Demonstrated ability to relate to clients and stakeholders with dignity, empathy, and respect.

Competency in using Microsoft Office and client management systems.

Ability to work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team.

Current Driver’s License (a vehicle is provided for work-related travel).

Highly Desirable Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a related health or welfare discipline

Experience working with individuals with progressive neurological diseases (e.g. MND, MS, Parkinson’s).

Knowledge of the NDIS and My Aged Care systems.

Understanding of duty of care, privacy legislation, and client confidentiality principles.

The MND and Me Foundation

MND and Me Foundation Limited is a not for profit organisation based at Coorparoo formed to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and its impact in the community.

The Foundation contributes financially toward research into finding a cure for MND. Until a cure is found, the Foundation’s major objectives are to ensure those 350 Queenslanders who live with this terrible disease, and their families, are supported.
