About Us

Originally established in 1921, today "the Skiff" stays loyal to its roots of skiff sailing. Our group consists of two venues - Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club and St George Sailing Club. Both clubs offer two bars, a harbourside brasserie, a function and events space catering for up to 140 guests plus a conference room and an over the water deck perfect for dining and informal get-togethers.

About the role

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you will be primarily responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable function for the two Clubs. You will assist the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records by processing supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling accounts. You will support financial operations, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Use financial software and spreadsheets (e.g., MYOB, Excel) to manage payment records

Recording daily sales, payments, bank deposits and other daily banking activities

Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to accounts payable

Perform other finance-related administrative duties as directed by the Finance Manager

Requirements

Previous experience in either a Bookkeeper, Accounts Clerk, or Accounts all-rounder role

Ability to work autonomously and within a small team

Intermediate skills in Excel

An eye for detail and a proactive attitude

A professional, punctual approach

You must have excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Good attitude to learn and take on forthcoming duties

Immediate start is preferred
