The Role:
An opportunity exists for a driven and motivated Colorectal Surgery Research (Honorary)/Clinic Fellow to join the team at Northern Health.
The Colorectal Research Fellow provides clinical leadership and is required to maintain their standards of clinical practice, to participate in Northern Health's standards of practice and to align themselves with the vision, mission and commitment statements of Northern Health.
The appointed Fellow acts as an advocate of patient rights and encourages and supports patient participation in their care. Colorectal Research Fellow provides their clinical services in a timely manner while practicing within their scope of practice at highest standards of accepted practice
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position (14 hrs per fortnight)
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
- FRACS General Surgery
- Evidence of commitment to Colorectal Surgery based on publications, training, experience, referee reports.
- Evidence of commitment to quality research and Good Clinical Practice Research certification (can be obtained within 6 weeks of commencement)
