Cumberland Charter Yachts is a multi award winning business at Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach Queensland. We offer bareboat (skipper yourself) charters across a fleet of 36 vessels for guests to hire and holiday around the Whitsunday Islands.

About the role

Casual position with 38 - 40 hours per week

We are looking for a professional team member for our maintenance team, suitable of attending to our vessels with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a well-maintained vessel for our guests that is a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation as a multi award winning company with a fleet of reliable and sound vessels.

You will also be required to perform duties as reasonably directed by the Operations Manager and Dock Supervisor.

About you

Previous experience maintaining vessels mechanically and cosmetically

Conduct turnarounds preparing vessels for its next charter

Mechanical checks to a high standard of accuracy and efficiency

Brief charter guests on the vessel, charter area and safety

Care of all tools when in use and in storage

Follow safe working practices at all times

Clean and presentable

Vessel handling in close proximity advantageous

Ability to offer longevity in the role

Team player but can also work autonomously

Qualifications

Coxswains certificate or equivalent (essential)

Bareboat Briefers ticket or willing to obtain (at own cost)
