Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes, you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action!
Other key duties will include:
- Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
- Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
- Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
- Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
- Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

Availability
To be considered for this position, your availability must align to one of the below fortnightly rosters.
Roster 1 – Minimum 49 hours per FN.
Week 1 – Saturday, Sunday, Monday – 5pm-9am Sleepover. Thursday – 6am-3pm.
Week 2 – Thursday, Friday - 5pm-9am Sleepover.
Roster 2 – Minimum 47 hours per FN.
Week 1 – Monday, Wednesday – 10pm-6am Active. Friday – 9am-5pm.
Week 2 – Saturday – 2pm-10pm. Sunday – 3pm-10pm. Thursday 10pm-6am Active.
Roster 3 – Minimum 48 hours per FN.
Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday - 5pm-9am Sleepover.
Week 2 – Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday - 5pm-9am Sleepover.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support with a quiet and gentle demeanour, as this environment requires low-stimulation and respectful interactions. The role involves personal care support, including bed sponge baths, toileting, and regular prompting to complete daily tasks. Experience with epilepsy management and supporting people with intellectual disability and complex behaviours would be beneficial. However, we are willing to teach you these skills if you have a passion for improving the quality of life for people with disability and ensuring every moment has potential by actively engaging people in their daily lives. The ability to manage occasional outbursts calmly and safely is key. A strong sense of reliability, discretion, and empathy is vital for success in this role.
We also require:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including multiple sleepovers per week.
- Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
