Our client is seeking a confident and safety-focused Traffic Controller to oversee the movement of heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment at their busy Hemmant site. This role is for you if you have the leadership presence to stand firm with truck drivers and equipment operators and the commitment to maintain a safe, efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the movement of heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment within the site.
• Manage pedestrian traffic to maintain safe separation from vehicles and machinery.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures, promoting a ‘Think, Act, Be Safe’ culture.
• Report and investigate incidents and near misses, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with legislative and company standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven leadership skills with the confidence to enforce site rules and engage with drivers and operators.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Traffic Controller Certification (Statement of Attainment) is essential.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing and medical examination.
