We’re hiring an experienced Communications Manager to lead external storytelling and executive comms for the Australian arm of a global, mission-led fintech company.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role — ideal for a strategic communicator who thrives at the intersection of media relations, influencer campaigns, and C-suite storytelling. You’ll work across a dynamic, cross-functional team and collaborate with top-tier agencies locally and globally.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead external communications and influencer engagement across Australia, with opportunities to extend across APAC
- Develop powerful, brand-aligned narratives: press releases, thought leadership, executive speeches, and op-eds
- Act as the local lead for external PR and influencer agencies
- Partner with brand, product, and marketing teams to amplify core business priorities
- Provide strategic counsel to senior executives, driving positioning and profile-building initiatives
- Support select internal comms initiatives and employee engagement moments
- Track performance and sentiment across channels, adjusting approach based on insight and impact
What you’ll bring to the role
- 8–10+ years in external communications, ideally within top-tier agencies, high-growth tech, or global corporate environments
- Strong track record in media strategy, executive comms, and influencer engagement
- Confident managing executive stakeholders (VP-level and above) and trusted as a thought partner
- Skilled at turning complex business ideas into compelling, media-ready storytelling
- Comfortable working in matrixed, global teams and flexing across time zones as needed
- Bonus: Experience across APAC markets and familiarity with tools like Stream, Meltwater, or Agency Manager
