Studies of Religion (SOR) and Religious Education (RE) Teacher

Permanent full-time position

Flexible start date either at the beginning of Term 3 OR Term 4, 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed SOR and RE Teacher to join our vibrant and collaborative RE Faculty. Key duties and responsibilities

Proven experience teaching Studies of Religion (SOR) Stage 6 and Religious Education (RE) across Stages 4-5;

Demonstrated experience teaching HSC Studies of Religion;

HSC marking experience is preferable;

· Planning and implementing effective teaching and innovative pedagogical practices;

· Provide a positive and engaging teaching and learning experience for students;

· Assessing, providing feedback, and reporting on student learning;

Developing teaching programs and assessments across all stages preferred however not essential;

Working collaboratively in a Religious Education Faculty;

Ability to implement new syllabi;

Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment;

Using effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive

resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes;

Effectively managing student behaviour and maintaining an educational environment that promotes learning.

· Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stages 4 - 6);
