About the Client
Our client is a rapidly expanding, globally owned logistics service provider, specialising in container transport, warehousing, distribution, and vehicle handling. With a strong presence in Sydney, their Port Botany site is focused on delivering high-quality, compliant, and efficient operations aligned with strict industry and regulatory standards.
About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Wash Bay Operator for a permanent, full-time position based at Port Botany, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and presentation of motor vehicles, motorcycles, trucks, spare parts, and containers in compliance with Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) standards. You’ll play a key part in maintaining site cleanliness, safety, and operational standards across the depot.
Key Responsibilities
Thoroughly clean vehicles, containers, and other cargo to DAFF standards
Operate and maintain wash bay equipment and vehicle hoist
Conduct visual inspections and report defects with photographic evidence
Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly
Support general yard duties and assist with warehouse and yard maintenance
Maintain high hygiene standards in accordance with site and DAFF policies
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient site operations
Skills and Experience Required
Experience in a wash bay, maintenance yard, or similar role (desirable)
Valid driver's licence and forklift licence (essential)
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Good mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge is advantageous
Comfortable working in outdoor environments
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
