The ACTPS Graduate Program offers you the unique opportunity to kickstart your career in public service and contribute to the community that you live and work in. We are looking for motivated, innovative, and dedicated individuals to join our team and help shape the future of our national capital.
You'll gain hands-on experience through diverse rotations across various ACT Government roles, enjoy personalised learning and development opportunities tailored to enhance your skills, and secure a promotion following the successful completion of the program.
We offer you:
- A 10-month development program, including role rotations, designed to support you to establish and grow your career in the ACT Public Service.
- Start with one of the highest graduate salary packages in the Australian public sector, beginning at $86,750. After the successful completion of our 10-month graduate program you will be promoted and have a salary of $95,722.

Eligibility/Other requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 ACT Public Service Graduate Program, you must:
- Hold the rights to work in Australia*
- Have completed a tertiary degree (Bachelors Degree, Bachelors Honours Degree, Masters Degree or PhD), within the past five years (between 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025)
- Be available to start work in February 2026
*Evidence of current eligibility to work full-time in Australia (ie. your Australian birth certificate, Australian or New Zealand passport, Australian citizenship, visa notification grant)
