An opening exists for a part time disability support worker for an adult male with high care needs, he is non-verbal and lives in the family home in the Coombabah area. The role is to provide one to one support for all his needs. ALL SHIFTS ARE OVERNIGHT.

Shifts:

• Saturday Mornings - 8am - 12pm
• Tuesday Nights - 5pm - overnight - 8am (inactive)
• Flexibility / Availability to pick up extra shifts

Duties:

• Personal care
• Daily Living
• Assistance with eating and drinking
• Transport

Applicant requirements:

• Good level of physical fitness
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or experience working in the sector for +3 years
• Experience in personal care, hoist, wheelchair etc
• Reliability and enthusiasm
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Current Open Queensland Driver’s License.
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willing to obtain
• Covid Vaccination Certificate (preferred)
• NDIS Orientation Module Certificate or willing to obtain before start date

Pay Rates (for experienced workers):

• Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $41.25 per hour
• Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am - shift $46.20 per hour
• Saturdays - $57.75 per hour
• Sunday - $74.25 per hour
• Public Holidays - $90.75 per hour
• Sleepover allowance $90.00 per shift

*** Workers with limited experience to start on a lower rate subject to review at 3 months***
