What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Driller’s Offsider, you’ll be getting hands-on in one of the most physically demanding jobs out there. This isn’t just a job; it’s the start of a career in a fast-paced, high-reward industry. We think it’s important you know what you’re getting yourself in for:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Assist the Driller: Support the driller in operating and maintaining drilling equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
• Handle Heavy Equipment: Load and unload tools, rods, and core samples, often involving physically demanding tasks.
• Operate Support Equipment and Vehicles: Safely operate vehicles and equipment essential to the drilling process.
• Maintain the Site: Keep the worksite clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Produce Core Samples: Assist in retrieving, handling, and labeling core samples for analysis, ensuring they are prepared and stored correctly for geological assessments.
• Work Safely: Follow strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and the team.

• You’ll enjoy the job – Let’s be real, this is one of the toughest jobs around. It’s dirty, in challenging areas, working away from home, physically demanding, and definitely not for everyone.
• You’ll cope working away from home – Being away from loved ones for extended periods is not easy for most. It’s challenging, and the conditions can be tough.

• You will be working away from home doing rostered work. Usually 2/1 rosters.

What You’ll Need:

• Either Permanent residency or Citizenship - unfortunately we cannot accept working holidays visas for this role.
• Point of hire is Perth - you must reside in Western Australia.
• A valid Manual Drivers’ Licence (THIS IS A MUST)
• A great work ethic and resilience – this is not your average 9-to-5. These are 12 hour days of hard yakka.
• The ability to work in remote and challenging environments. This could be intense heat and/or humidity.
• A strong level of fitness – you’ll need it! Can almost guarantee it will be the hardest job you’ve done.
• A can-do attitude and a commitment to safety.
