- Permanent Full-Time – 35 hours per week
- Attractive salary ranging from $1,279.40 up to $1,471.20
- 11.5% Superannuation Contribution.

The Library Mobile Services Officer at Moree Plains Shire Council plays a crucial role in providing essential library services to the community. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about bringing library services directly to the residents of our Shire.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Plan and deliver mobile library services to various locations within the Moree area, ensuring access to library resources for all community members.
- Manage and maintain the mobile library vehicle, including stocking and organising materials to facilitate efficient service delivery.
- Engage with diverse community groups and individuals, promoting literacy initiatives and fostering a love for reading and learning.
- Assist patrons in accessing information, resources, and technology available through the mobile library, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other library staff to develop engaging programs and activities tailored to specific demographics and community needs.
- Contribute to administrative tasks such as record-keeping, statistics collection, and reporting on mobile library usage and impact.
- Contribute ideas for improving mobile library services based on community feedback, emerging trends, and best practices in library outreach.

The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience working in Community Services, Libraries, Education or Customer Service
- Enthusiastic about working with the community and comfortable engaging with people of all ages.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to follow procedures and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Level of competence with Internet applications and digital technology (e.g. smart phone, tablets, laptops and e-readers) including STEM technology and Microsoft Officer Programs.
Pre Employment Checks:
- A current NSW Working With Children Check Clearance (WWCC) - please note, you can obtain your WWCC during the application process
Ticket, Licences and Certificates:
- Current Class C Driver's licence with ability to drive a mobile library vehicle (training will be provided).
