Full-time 38 hours a week.
Located in Ringwood, Melbourne, BM Motorcycles was established in 1999 as an independent BMW specialist, offering all BMW motorcycles – old and new – the personal and professional care and expert attention when it comes to servicing, tuning, repairing and improving.
BM Motorcycles is one of Victoria's most experienced BMW motorcycle workshops, and our small, tightly knit team has built an enviable reputation of professionalism, expertise and genuine customer service for more than 25 years and counting. How? By building strong relationships with our customers and doing every job the right way. Quality and integrity are the bedrock of our business.
As such, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and experienced motorcycle technician to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. BMW workshop experience is desirable, but not essential – we’ll train you up. No big franchise pressure here.
A passion for motorcycles and the relevant mechanical experience are mandatory but, above all else, we’re looking for a real go-getter and positive team player keen to learn and complement us and our business. This is a pivotal role, after all, so we want the right person, and for the long-term.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
● Testing and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
● Repairing and replacing defective parts, including tyre changing and tube repairing, electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, suspension repairs and brakes replacement
● Engine rebuilds
● All small mechanical repairs
● Re-assembling components and engines after repairs
● Performing regular maintenance services to optimise motorcycle performance and safety to our standards
● Test-riding and inspecting motorcycles for roadworthiness
● Maintaining proper records
● Complying with workshop safety policies and procedures
Required qualities:
● Experience as a motorcycle technician
● Relevant qualifications as a motorcycle technician
● A current motorcycle drivers licence
● The capacity to work in Australia
● Reliable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
● Strong time management/organised approach to work
● Initiative and forward-thinking in all aspects of the business
● High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
● A team player – willingness to assist and support colleagues
● Available to be on the weekend roster (every second Saturday)
● Maintain a neat and tidy appearance in the workplace
If you believe you have what it takes and would like to be part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your resume to [email protected]
