Are you passionate about Aboriginal education? Ready for your next adventure? Looking for a once in a lifetime teaching opportunity?
The Department for Education South Australia is seeking adventurous and committed teachers to join us in multiple sites across the Anangu Pitjantjara Yankunjatjara (APY) Lands, Yalata and Maralinga Tjarutja Lands. We are recruiting teachers across our primary and secondary schools, including SACE and Tailored Learning Options (formerly Flexible Learning Options.)
You’ll teach alongside experienced Anangu educators and become part of the wider community. Flexibility, trauma-informed practice, and a deep sense of teamwork is a must. Experience teaching in very remote locations or Aboriginal schools is beneficial.
Use your weekends exploring the beauty of Central Australia, with the Musgrave Ranges, Uluru, Kings Canyon, the gorges surrounding Alice Springs and everything in between. Or get out on country with our Anangu leaders, camp out beneath the stars and learn the history of this beautiful part of the world.
You’ll be supported through the process by one of our helpful recruitment team members who can provide information about transferring your teaching qualifications with the South Australian Teacher’s Registration Board, 4WD Training, Wellness Checks and we can also provide support with relocation and have your accommodation and utilities organised and paid for as part of the role. You will also receive incentives additional to your salary.
Why choose us:
As Country Zone 5 sites you’ll receive up to an additional $21, 085 in country incentives in your first year through:
Country Incentives Zone Allowance
One-off incidentals payment
Locality allowances:
Compensation for adverse environment

In respect of abnormal depreciation of motor vehicle
