The Package: $111,908.68 - $123,657.04 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 17 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression. This position is inclusive of leaseback vehicle option.
Full time– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered for this role.

In this role you will:
· Lead strategic town planning and land-use initiatives, including town structure planning, infill housing strategies, developer contribution frameworks, and rural planning, to promote sustainable development and enhance community livability while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
· Oversee Council and proponent-led planning proposals in accordance with the Minister’s Planning Expectations, manage minor heritage works approvals, and ensure Council’s strategic planning documents (Development Control Plans and Local Environmental Plans) are updated to reflect best practices.
We are looking for someone who:
· Can inspire and lead a small, high-performing team, setting a visionary tone to align objectives with Council’s strategic goals, delivering impactful, community-focused projects.
· Demonstrates expertise in managing compliance with statutory planning obligations, coordinating proponent-led proposals, and monitoring performance to achieve program objectives.
