What you'll be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of Australia's largest health system by joining the statewide NSW Health Deployment Program in the Central Resource Unit (CRU).
We are looking for Registered Nurses in any of the following specialties:
- General Medical
General Surgical
Emergency Department
Justice Health
Community
Mental Health
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Renal
and Sub Specialties
The Registered Nurse will deliver person-centred nursing care in a variety of health settings, collaborating with individuals and multidisciplinary teams.
Where you'll be working
The Registered Nurse workforce will be deployed to locations across NSW Health from anywhere between two and 13 weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the flexibility to work for short periods of time, with the opportunity to stay longer and work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

To be considered for this position, you will need to attach your up-to-date resume (up to 5 pages) and respond to the targeted questions in the questionnaire.
Targeted Questions:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing nursing care in the context of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication using information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care with a commitment to quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care.
- Recent clinical experience relevant to the position including evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
- Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
