Position available for a fulltime milking farmhand on our 500cow dryland dairy farm located 10kms of Busselton. We operate a 20 aside rapid exit double up herringbone with Delaval Auto ID, feeding and cup removers. Immediate start.

Depending upon skills and main interests of candidate job tasks may include:

· milking/droving cows/cleaning

· calf rearing

· machinery operating

· fencing

· maintaining equipment and infrastructure

Full time position with tasks, work hours, responsibilities and future training needs open to discussion according to successful candidates skills and specific interests.

Fortnightly repeating roster. Every 2nd weekend work hours are required. 3 days off alternative weekend plus extra week day within the fortnightly roster in an effort to promote work / life balance. Open to discussion to develop flexible roster according to outside work and family commitments where possible

To be considered for the position candidates must:

· be experienced and competent in the dairy and associated tasks

· adhere to safe and sensible workplace procedures

· communicate effectively

· follow instructions

· work both independently and as part of a close knit team

· be reliable, punctual and able to commit to weekends and early mornings

· have attention to detail and a strong desire to care for our animals and equipment to the best of your ability

· carry out tasks and treat co-workers, animals and machinery with respect

· have a current drivers licence

· pass a Drug and Alcohol test
