About the role

Capital Hoist Repair is seeking an experienced Automotive Hoist Technician(or alternatively a mechanic/fitter) to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of automotive hoists and related equipment for our clients across the region.

What you'll be doing

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on a range of automotive hoists and lifting equipment

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues with hoist systems, hydraulics, electronics and other components

Install new hoists and equipment, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards

Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to callouts and completing work to a high standard

Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and provide regular reporting

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics

Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as hoist safety and compliance requirements

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues

Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate technical information clearly

A current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
