Padbury Education and Child Care Centre is a non-profit, community-based organisation leading the development of innovative and responsive care for children for over 30 years. We are seeking a suitably qualified Handy Person for a part-time position to join our professional, friendly team.

About you

Are you a skilled and versatile Handy Person looking for a part time position? The Handy Person is responsible for assisting with the general operation, maintenance and repair of equipment, building and grounds.

Responsibilities for this position include:

· Undertaking general repairs and maintenance

· Overseeing preventative maintenance

· Maintaining nature playgrounds

· To assist in identifying areas of improvement

· To take initiative and solve problems creatively

Required:

Must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check

Must be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance

Ability to operate hand and power tools

Can do attitude with an attention to detail

Effective communication skills

Knowledge and skills to execute maintenance tasks unsupervised

Exceptional organisational skills

Ability to follow work health and safety procedures
