Big Rock Electrical is a family owned and locally run electrical company specializing in high-end residential projects in Dunsborough and surrounds. Renowned for our quality craftsmanship and full customer-focused service, we are seeking a proactive lead electrician. The role involves hands-on work, project coordination, troubleshooting, client interaction, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage residential electrical installations and some service projects.

Interpret plans and electrical codes to execute work effectively.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, and safety regulations.

Supervise and train apprentice electricians, ensuring high work standards.

Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems.

Coordinate with builders, homeowners, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.

Maintain accurate records of materials used, labour hours, and project progress.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and efficiently.

Manage tools, equipment, and inventory necessary for project completion.

Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in residential project management

Leadership or team development experience

10+ years of electrical trade experience

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Proactive and detail-oriented approach

Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead confidently

Tech-savvy, with experience using platforms like SimPRO, Asana, or similar job management systems.

Knowledge of automation systems & security will be well regarded.
