We are looking for an experienced Qualified Dental Assistant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant to join our very friendly and professional team located in Melbourne’s North-West. The applicant will be employed across various locations, providing surgical assistance and administrative support for Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons at hospitals and offsite consulting suites our head office is based in Moonee Ponds.

This position is available to start immediately. Full-time position. Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with monthly RDO’s.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organisational skills are required as administrative tasks will need to be undertaken in the role

• Surgical assisting for patients having either local anaesthetic, intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic

• Provide patients with relevant pre and post operative instructions

• Reprocessing medical devices and storage and handling of medical and surgical supplies

• Maintain infection prevention and control.

About you:

• Must have Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent)

• Proven experience working with patients and offering a high quality of patient care throughout the patient journey and be able to converse with patients in a friendly manner

• Be well presented with a strong work ethic

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Must be punctual with good time management and organisation skills.

• Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team

• Current driver’s license is required
