About Oberon Earthmoving:
Established in 2014, Oberon Earthmoving is a high-quality, family-owned earth-moving and civil construction company. Winner of awards such as Excellence in Large Business (Oberon Business and Tourism Association), we’ve expanded every year and specialise in land clearing, detailed earthworks, drainage, septic projects, access roads and more.
In addition to civil and commercial construction, we operate a quarry and concrete plant, supplying gravel and roadbase for major infrastructure projects.
Our long-serving team is our greatest asset. Many of our staff have been with us for a decade or more, advancing into leadership roles or keeping the office running like clockwork. We’re active supporters of the Oberon community, sponsoring local sporting teams and events like the Oberon Rodeo and helping out during local emergencies.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced MC Heavy Haulage Float Operator as the primary focus of this role, responsible for the safe and efficient transport of oversized earthmoving, forestry, and quarrying equipment throughout the Oberon region and beyond. This position requires a high level of responsibility, a strong commitment to safety, and skill in operating a variety of floats and trailers.
In addition to float operations, duties will include general maintenance (alongside our mechanical team), equipment upkeep, and maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and trailers—making minor fixes where necessary to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
You will also need to be open to supporting other areas of the business, which may include operating a range of machinery, driving other heavy vehicles, or assisting with bulk material deliveries when required. Training and support will be provided for these additional duties to ensure you’re confident and capable across a broad range of tasks.
You’ll play a critical role in moving machinery between worksites—including remote forestry locations, active quarry sites, and civil construction projects—often over challenging terrain and under project deadlines. This position offers ample opportunities for overtime, weekend work, and long-term growth.
Working at Oberon Earthmoving means joining a committed, hands-on team where your contribution is valued and your career can grow. If you're looking for a diverse, rewarding role in a business that values professionalism, flexibility, and safety—we encourage you to apply
