About the Role
We're currently looking for a qualified boilermaker to join our team as a Workshop Foreman. This is a full-time position, with flexibility for the right person. You’ll be responsible for overseeing workshop operations, leading a small team on the floor, and getting hands-on when needed. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident on the tools but also capable of organising and guiding daily production tasks, managing workloads, and upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead day-to-day operations of the workshop and yard.

Be hands-on with fabrication, welding, and assembly as required.

Coordinate production of piles and steel components to meet project schedules.

Perform quality assurance checks and complete documentation for QA processes.

Manage material deliveries and stock levels to meet project timelines.

Manage procurement of all workshop consumable.

Work closely with Engineering and Project teams to deliver accurate, efficient work.

Provide mentoring and supervision to workshop staff and apprentices.

Maintain compliance with WHS policies and ensure a clean and safe worksite.

Interpret 2D fabrication drawings.

Carry out admin duties such as daily reports, QA documentation, and timesheets.

Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures.

Weld testing is a standard project and quality assurance requirement across most of our jobs. You will be required to successfully complete all weld test procedures and support team members through future testing requirements

What We’re Looking For

Fully qualified Boilermaker with trade certificate

Proven experience in a similar workshop foreman or leading hand role.

Strong fabrication and welding skills.

Ability to lead a small team and maintain a positive, productive work environment.

Comfortable jumping on the tools when required.

Solid communication and organisational skills.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Experience with QA systems and documentation is desirable.
