My Beer Dealer is a proudly independent on-and-off premise brand in the Brisbane craft booze industry. We aim to be a leader in our sector by championing small producers - be it wine, beer or spirits. We want to share our knowledge and passion and set a high bar for customer experience.

We currently have three unique retail shops (one of which is part wine/beer bar, part bottle shop) and an e-commerce store. The role would likely encompass all three sites, predominantly at our Fortitude Valley drink-in bottle shop. The role we are advertising would be on a 30-38 hours a week basis but could move to a full-time role to the right candidate. We can offer a minimum of 30+ hours per week immediately and full time hours to the right candidate.

We are seeking an experienced bartender with bottle shop experience. Your booze experience will be strongest in wine and spirits to complement a strong team in craft beer (we won’t complain if your skillset includes craft beer of course). Amazing customer service will be second nature, you genuinely love people, love creating relationships with regulars and fostering new ones.

The role includes all the usual bartending and bottle shop attendant duties, including:

- Bartending and function/event supervision;

- moving stock around (you’ll need a strong core);

- playing fridge tetris with an ever-changing product offering;

- retail display and merchandising;

- adding value to the customers experience and our bottom line;

You will be a warm and engaging personality, a multi-tasker under pressure, experienced in working alone on evening shifts and be able to handle yourself with difficult customers when required. You’ll have a banging sense of humour and of course the right to work in Australia, long term. You’ll be working alongside a great existing team. This role is diverse and will appeal to those people who relish variety and a different challenge every day. There is great scope in this role to make it your own and develop it into something juicy.

It is a strong advantage to own your own vehicle, as you will be asked to work across multiple locations. You will be required to work weekends on a regular basis. You will enjoy great perks, autonomy and thrive with the responsibility given.

You’ll have 3+ years’ experience in a bottle shop/bar with a focus on wine, know you can genuinely work independently and can start in the next two weeks.
