Westfill Pty Ltd is on the lookout for skilled and experienced Auto Electricians to join our team for underground mining operations across Western Australia. This is a FIFO 8/6 dayshift-only roster, offering excellent work/life balance and rates up to $90/hour.

Today, having developed a reputation for consistently delivering safe, reliable, and professional contract services for national and international underground mining projects, Westfill Pty Ltd is a principal underground mining contractor and a full-service provider for mining operations.

Requirements of the role:

Operate mechanised longhole drilling rigs (e.g., Sandvik DL421, DL432i) to drill blast holes as per design specifications.

Interpret and execute drill plans, ensuring holes are drilled to the correct line, gradient, and profile.

Conduct thorough pre-start inspections and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operational.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate drilling activities.

Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 2 years’ post-trade experience working in heavy machinery, agriculture, civil, construction or mining environment

Previous mining experience (Essential)

Strong diagnostic, maintenance, and fault-finding skills

Able to demonstrate an excellent attitude and compliance with safety policies and procedures.

A proactive, team-oriented attitude and strong safety focus

Current Valid Manual Driver’s License (Essential)

Full Australian Working Rights (Essential)

WA-based and available for FIFO (Essential)
